Giant robots loot the Oort Cloud

   (When not taking time out

       To pose for the covers

       Of science fiction magazines

       Published back in the 1940's and 50's)

The tabloids say they've been snorting

Comet dust

Smearing it on each others' bodies

Experiencing exotic new A.I. highs

Splendid recombinant pleasures

Roughly equivalent to the human experience

Of 100 percent Colombian coffee,

Or perhaps a double-shot latté.

 

Oh well

At least maybe now

There won't be so many comets to worry about.
